The challenge
A newly completed primary data-centre fibre network reached go-live with an initial certification pass rate of approximately 60%. Inspection identified inadequate anchoring, strain at splice points, failed fusion splices, inconsistent internal routing and unsuitable use of high-density fibre-management hardware.
LGN response
LGN investigated the failure pattern, corrected mechanical restraint and internal fibre management, removed and reterminated unreliable fibres, completed fusion splicing and verified sections progressively. This kept the project team informed while the underlying causes were corrected.

Outcome
The recovery ran for approximately three weeks and returned the remedial scope with verified performance, reliable terminations and improved accessibility for future maintenance. The end client and commercial chain remain anonymous.
Every project is different. Timescales and performance figures are included as evidence for this specific supplied example, not as a guarantee for future work.
Relevant capability
These examples connect survey, route and cabinet decisions, workmanship, testing and documentation. If an upcoming project has similar constraints, LGN can review the brief and identify the evidence and controls that should be built into delivery.
