Project Background

To accommodate their unprecedented growth and allow for the handling and fulfilment of stock levels, the likes of which has never been seen before, it has been necessary for Amazon to build worldwide distribution hubs as part of the most efficient large scale delivery system available today.
Project Scope
Delivery of structured cabling and technical services installation across 5 distribution centres, inclusive of cabinets, switching kit, 3000-6000 copper data points, up to 10km of fibre per site, up to 300 Wi-Fi access points and CCTV cameras .

ASDA
Project Background
Asda have forged themselves as a leading supplier of home essentials and a true giant amongst worldwide retailers. Speed and capability of their network is paramount to the success of the organisation with over 630 stores throughout UK of varying scale and bandwidth demands.
Project Scope
Install a high bandwidth Category 6a solution and 10gbps Wi-Fi throughout nationwide stores. LGN managed delivery throughout Northwest stores with over 500 data points, 500 access points, associated fibre links, cabinet upgrades and switching equipment.
Project Outcome
Significantly increased bandwidth throughout the estate. Increased reliability of network and dependent systems. Increased staff and customer satisfaction and retention.
Barclays
Project Background
Radbroke Technology Centre has been the home of Barclays since 1972 with over 4000 staff sited at these premises. It became clear there was a requirement for expanded modular office space until their planning had been processed for a built extension on premises.
Project Scope
Install 1000+ point premium category 6 solution from modular building to existing comms room, inclusive of refreshed fibre links and category 6 harness looms.
Project Outcome
Successful delivery of project, ahead of time and within budget, granting the ability to house additional staff at the Radbroke facility.
BBC
Project Background
The BBC has been operational at MediaCityUK since 2011, producing thousands of hours of content for television, radio and online. Around 3,200 staff work in twenty-six departments, producing thousands of hours of content for television, radio and online. The ever expanding increase in quality of content means that the networks at Media City must be among some of the best performing in the country.

Install 1500m of diverse fibre links throughout the BBC North estate.

EDF
Project Background
EDF are Britain’s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity from wind, nuclear and solar facilities. Our works with EDF are most of the time of a sensitive nature, with a planned nuclear outage once per year requiring maintenance delivered within stringent deadlines.

Project Background
With the ever increasing demand for speed, reliability and bandwidth, it is only natural that one of the world’s leading Hoteliers sought to install comprehensive wireless solutions throughout their Doubletree estate, which includes over 500 hotels worldwide.
Project Scope
Supply and install cabling and Wi-Fi solution in Doubletree hotels throughout the Northwest, inclusive of over 100 access points, 1km of fibre optic links, associated cabinet and switching equipment.

HMRC
Project Background
HMRC sought the establishment of a new HQ for their DBS checking facility in the Northwest to accommodate up to 400 staff.
Project Scope
Supply and install multi-layered 1400 point category 6 solution, inclusive of inter-cabinet fibre links, Wi-Fi, CCTV, door access systems associated cabinets and switching equipment.

HMRC
Project Background
HMRC sought the establishment of a new hub in Liverpool to accommodate up to 4000 staff.

Hubron
Project Background
Hubron are a worldwide leading manufacturer of plastic masterbatch and conductive compound. Their exponential growth has created the need for additional production facility and offices on site.

Full fit out of production, engineering and office areas with cabinets, switching, Meraki Wi-Fi, blown fibre links and copper data throughout the building.

NHS
Project Background
Nobody expected to see a global pandemic the scale of Covid-19. It was very clear, very quick that we all had to pull together to ensure the best safety measures for our loved ones and ourselves. Part of the countries plan of action was the construction of temporary emergency hospital facilities across the country to best cope with whatever this situation may have sent our way.

Install 1800 cat 6 copper data points, cabinets, switching kit and associated fibre links.

OBG
Project Background
The O’Brien Group of companies provide products and services in science led fields. OBG procured LGN for our first project as a newly formed company and have used us for cabling services across their estate ever since. There are many notable projects including a reinstall of their Runcorn MCR, the fit out of their new Liverpool head office, the fit out of their new offices in Dublin, directional Wi-Fi, fibre links and data throughout the leisure park in Scarisbrick and many more.

The University of Manchester
Project Background
The Manchester Engineering Campus Development (MECD) is one of the single, largest construction projects undertaken by any UK higher education institution. The development for the University of Manchester will provide over 75,000m2 of modern facilities in a bespoke environment, to support world leading research and an outstanding teaching and learning experience for more than 8,000 students and staff.
