Our History

At its grassroots, LGN was formed through a strong desire to create high performing and stunningly beautiful network systems.

Born of modest working-class roots into a family of engineers, our founder and Director was brought up around the inner workings of the first electronic typewriters and IBM computers. From a young age he shown a keen interest in how things work, building his first computer, home network and reverse engineering games consoles at 12 years of age.

From here he studied Information Technology, eventually working as a tech consultant where it had been common occurrence that poorly installed networks affected the performance of mission critical systems. He contemplated upon the idea ‘what if someone’s life depended on this system?’, in many cases lives did depend upon these systems and with this in mind, specialising in the field of Network Systems Support he applied his knowledge and developed his skill in the design and installation of industry leading network systems, eventually leading to the incorporation of LGN Ltd in June 2016.

Along the way LGN have been paramount in the delivery of countless crucial high performance network systems for our Nuclear, Defence, Government, Public and Private sectors, with a particular point of pride being the contribution of networking services to deliver an 1800 point network (and associated diverse route fibres) for an emergency pandemic hospital in just 5 days.

It is this commitment to achieving results which solidifies LGN’s continued success on their path to becoming the UK’s leading structured cabling service provider.
